Security System With the system set, you can still open the trunk with the remote transmitter/keyless access remote without triggering the alarm. The alarm will sound if the trunk is opened with the trunk release button on the driver's door, the trunk release handle behind the trunk pass-through cover, or the emergency trunk opener. The security system does not set if any door, the trunk, or hood is not fully closed. Before you leave the vehicle, make sure the doors, trunk and hood are securely closed. To see if the system sets after you exit the vehicle, press the LOCK button on the remote transmitter/ keyless access remote within five seconds. If the system is set, the horn will beep once.
