Engine Oil 1. Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature, then shut it off. OIL FILTER The oil, engine components and the exhaust system are hot and can burn you. Use caution and wear protective clothing while working in the engine compartment. OIL DRAIN BOLT AND WASHER 2. Open the hood and remove the oil fill cap. Remove the oil drain bolt and washer from the bottom of the engine. Drain the oil into an appropriate container. 3. Remove the oil filter and let the remaining oil drain. A special wrench (available from your Honda dealer) is required to remove the filter. 4. Install a new oil filter according to the instructions that come with it. Maintenance

1.

Open the hood and remove
the oil fill cap. Remove the oil
drain bolt and washer from
the bottom of the engine.
Drain the oil into an

3.
Remove the oil filter and let
the remaining oil drain. A

4.
Install a new oil filter
according to the instructions
