GENERAL INFORMATION 33 j Choke Knob The choke knob located on the dashboard, to the left of the steering wheel, provides a rich mixture for cold starting. Pull the choke knob all the way to start the engine. Warm the engine up using the choke and throttle until the idle speed is stable, and then push the choke knob back. Refer to the "Starting the Engine" section in the "How to Operate" chapter for detailed information. Engine Oil Temperature Warning Light The oil temperature warning light comes on whenever the engine oil temperature rises too high while the vehicle is in operation. If it stays on, stop the engine and check the engine oil level after the engine cools down. Refer to the "Engine Oil" section in the "Maintenance and Adjustment" chapter. A. Choke Knob
The choke knob located on the dashboard, to the
left of the steering wheel, provides a rich mixture for
cold starting.
Pull the choke knob all the way to start the engine.
Warm the engine up using the choke and throttle un-
til the idle speed is stable, and then push the choke
knob back.

“How to Operate” chapter for detailed information.

If the choke is left on (pulled out) after the engine
has warmed up, spark plug fouling and poor fuel
economy may result.
Engine Oil Temperature Warning Light
The oil temperature warning light comes on when-
ever the engine oil temperature rises too high while
the vehicle is in operation. If it stays on, stop the en-
gine and check the engine oil level after the engine
cools down.
