A. Air Cleaner Housing Cover
B. Snaps
Remove the screw and pull the air cleaner element
out of the housing.
Push a clean, lint-free towel into the air cleaner
housing to keep dirt or other foreign material from
entering.
WARNING
If dirt or dust is allowed to pass through into
the carburetor, the throttle may stick or be-
come inoperable resulting in a hazardous op-
erating condition.
NOTICE
If dirt gets into the engine, excessive engine
wear and possible engine damage may oc-
cur.

Element installation is performed in the reverse
order of removal.

Install the housing cover with its snaps.
Element Cleaning
Remove the element (see Element Removal).
Remove the urethane foam element from the pa-
per element.
