TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Verify the location of all Intelligent Keys that are programmed for the vehicle. If another Intelligent Key is in range or inside the vehicle, the vehicle system may respond differently than expected. Symptom The SHIFT P warning appears on the disWhen pushing the ignition switch to stop play and the inside warning chime sounds the engine continuously. When opening the driver's door to get out of the vehicle The inside warning chime sounds continuously. The NO KEY warning appears on the display, the outside chime sounds 3 times and the inside warning chime sounds for approximately 3 seconds. The NO KEY warning appears on the display and the outside chime sounds continuously. The outside chime sounds for approximately 3 seconds and all the doors unlock. The outside chime sounds for approximately 10 seconds and the trunk lid opens. Possible Cause The shift selector is not in the P position. The ignition switch is in the ACC position. The Intelligent Key is in the Intelligent Key port. The ignition switch is in the ACC or ON position. The ignition switch is in the ACC position and the shift selector is not in the P (Park) position. The Intelligent Key is inside the vehicle or trunk. The Intelligent Key is inside the trunk. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position. Remove the Intelligent Key from the Intelligent Key port. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position. Remedy Shift the shift selector to the P position. When closing the door after getting out of the vehicle When closing the door with the inside lock knob turned to LOCK When closing the trunk lid Move the shift selector to the P (Park) position and place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
