Signature Updates 3 Enter the path to the SnapServer (or Windows/SMB server) to which the update files have been downloaded (see previous procedure) using the following format: \\server_name\share_name where server_name is the name of the server, and share_name is the name of the share providing access to the files. To Distribute Files via FTP If you have more than one SnapServer with no Internet access, you can perform the FTP download procedure on just one of them (or any FTP server), and then configure your other SnapServers to get the signature updates from that server automatically via FTP. 1 Navigate to Scanner > Signature Update Options, and click the Incoming tab. 2 Click the Add button, and select FTP in the Method list box. 3 Enter the following information regarding the server on which the update file resides as follows: • In the Host Name field, enter the IP address. • In the User Name and Password fields, enter the admin user name and password. • In the Remote Path field, enter the path to the directory in which the file resides. If you are using a SnapServer, the path would be similar to the following: /shares/SHARE1/sigfiles where SHARE1/sigfiles is the share path to the directory containing the signature update files. 4 Click OK.
