Re-enabling the Antivirus Software The antivirus software is enabled by default. If the antivirus software is reinstalled (as part of an upgrade process, for example), you will need to enable the software by selecting Yes from the Enable CA eTrust Antivirus pull-down menu and clicking Save. The screen refreshes, and you will be able to launch the antivirus configuration GUI. Resetting the Server Date and Time If the current server date and time is reset to an earlier date and time (System > Date/ Time), the change does not automatically propagate to any scheduled antivirus operations. To synchronize scheduled antivirus operations with the new date and time settings, you must reschedule each operation. New jobs may be affected by the time change. Be sure to check that new jobs have been executed if a date or time change has been made to the server. Storage Configuration and the Antivirus Software The antivirus software resides on the largest volume (that existed at the time the software was installed). If you delete this volume, the CA eTrust Antivirus software will also be deleted. The Snap Server automatically reinstalls the antivirus software on the largest remaining volume on the system. Tip The antivirus re-installation process does not preserve custom antivirus configuration settings. Make a note of any such settings before deleting a volume. 70 Snap Server Administrator Guide

screen.
Re-enabling the Antivirus Software
The antivirus software is enabled by default. If the antivirus software is reinstalled
(as part of an upgrade process, for example), you will need to enable the software
by selecting
Yes
from the Enable CA
e
Trust Antivirus pull-down menu and clicking

Resetting the Server Date and Time
If the current server date and time is reset to an earlier date and time (
System > Date/

), the change does not automatically propagate to any scheduled antivirus
operations. To synchronize scheduled antivirus operations with the new date and
time settings, you must reschedule each operation.
New jobs may be affected by the time change. Be sure to check that new jobs have
been executed if a date or time change has been made to the server.
Storage Configuration and the Antivirus Software

will also be deleted. The Snap Server automatically reinstalls the antivirus software
on the largest remaining volume on the system.
Tip
The antivirus re-installation process does not preserve custom antivirus
configuration settings. Make a note of any such settings before deleting a volume.
