Chapter 1 1.1.8 Internal connectors 1. Intel® SATA 6 Gb/s connectors (7-pin SATA6G_12; SATA 6G_34; SATA 6G_56) These connectors connect to SATA 6 Gb/s hard disk drives via SATA 6 Gb/s signal cables. If you intend to create a Serial ATA RAID set using these connectors, set the SATA Mode item in the BIOS to [Intel RST Premium With Intel Optane System Acceleration (RAID)]. • Before creating a RAID set, refer to the manual bundled in the motherboard support DVD. 2. Digital audio connector (4-1 pin SPDIF_OUT) This connector is for an additional Sony/Philips Digital Interface (S/PDIF) port.
