Connecting Devices to your Print Server 2 Before you start, you should have: 3 • One computer with Windows 2000 SP4 or above, or Windows XP SP1 or above 4 • One MFP or standard printer with a USB port and an installation CD 5 • One Category 5 Ethernet cable • One USB cable (not included-usually comes with printer) 6 1. Unpack the Print-Server package and verify 7 that all the items listed are provided. 2. Connect the Print Server to your network by attaching one end of the network cable to the Print Server's network 8 port and the other to an available port on your router. 9 10 11 12 13 3. Plug one end of the power adapter to the Print Server and the 14 other into an electrical outlet. The Print Server will perform a Power-On Self-Test (POST ) after it is powered on.
