IPP Printing 1 Introduction 2 Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) printing provides a convenient remote-printing service through TCP/IP. The Print Server can support 3 IPP printing in Windows 2000, XP, or 2003 by default. By using IPP printing, you can share the printer with all the computers that can access the Print Server through IP. You can even share your printer 4 with Internet users. 5 6 System Setup 7 Print-Server Side You do not have to perform any settings on the Print-Server side. Make sure the Print Server has the correct IP settings. If you want 8 to share the printers with Internet users, you have to set a real IP address to the Print Server. You should also make sure that any 9 gateway router or firewall does not block IPP protocol if you have gateway devices installed in your network. 10 Client Side 11 You only need to perform a Windows standard "Add New Printer" procedure. 12 1. Click "Start", choose "Settings", and select "Printers and Faxes". 13 2. Click "Add a Printer". 3. The Add Printer Wizard appears. Click "Next". 14 15 16 17 94 section
