(4) Close the top cover. (5) Remove the two screws from the scanner frame ASSY. (6) Lift up the rear edge of the scanner frame ASSY to release the three pawls provided on the front end from the top cover, then hold up the ASSY and disconnect the CIS harness (if the CIS is mounted). (7) Take off the grounding terminal by removing the screw. IV - 16

Close the top cover.

Remove the two screws from the scanner frame ASSY.
(6)
Lift up the rear edge of the scanner frame ASSY to release the three pawls provided on the
front end from the top cover, then hold up the ASSY and disconnect the CIS harness (if the
CIS is mounted).
(7)
Take off the grounding terminal by removing the screw.
