 4. Unpack the SIMM and hold it by its edge. ! Caution SIMM boards may be damaged by even a small amount of static electricity. Do not touch the memory chips or the board surface. When handling the board and before installing or removing it, wear an antistatic wrist strap, or frequently touch the surface of the antistatic package or bare metal on the printer.  5. Install the SIMM into the slot at an angle and then gently push it toward the vertical until it clicks into place. Fig. 2-5 Install the SIMM  6. Re-install the network board and secure it with the screws removed in 3 above.  7. Secure the access cover with the two screws. Close the Rear Paper exit cover.  8. Reconnect the cable from your computer. Plug the power cord into the AC outlet and turn on the power switch.  9. To check that the SIMM is installed correctly, perform a Test Print "Print Configuration" to see if the current total memory size has been updated. 2-6

Re-install the network board and secure it with the screws removed in 3 above.

Secure the access cover with the two screws.
Close the Rear Paper exit cover.

Reconnect the cable from your computer. Plug the power cord into the AC outlet and turn on
the power switch.
