CHAPTER 3 MAINTENANCE Warning After you have just used the printer, some internal parts of the printer are extremely HOT. Gently wipe the scanner window with a soft dry cloth. Scanner Window Fig. 3-21 Cleaning the scanner window ! Caution  Do not touch the scanner window with your fingers.  Do not wipe the scanner window with cleaning alcohol (isopropyl).  Handle the drum unit carefully because it contains toner. If toner scatters and your hands or cloths get dirty, immediately wipe or wash it off with cold water.  Note It is a good idea to place the drum unit on a piece of cloth or disposable paper in case you accidentally spill or scatter the toner. 3-17
