Replacing a BJ Tank in the BC-61 Color or BC-62 Photo BJ Cartridge The BC-61 Color BJ Cartridge or BC-62 Photo BJ Cartridge each contain one replaceable color BJ tank. When the color BJ tank runs out of ink, the printer will beep four times and the error indicator will come on. Leave the BJ cartridge in the printer when replacing a BJ tank. Make sure the printer's power is on. 1 Open the front cover, and press the blue CARTRIDGE button once. o The printer beeps and moves the cartridge holder to the left side of the printer. o The POWER light blinks while the cartridge holder is positioned to the left of the printer. 2 Remove the empty BJ tank. o The color cartridge is on the right. o Press in on the release tab and then lift the BJ tank up and out of the BJ cartridge unit. o Dispose of the BJ tank properly. You may want to place it in a plastic bag to keep from spilling any residual ink.
