STEP 2 Aspect Ratio The aspect ratio can be set to any of the following: • Independent When resizing the scan area, the width and height can be altered freely. • Constrained When resizing the scan area, the width and height are set at fixed proportions so that the shape remains constant over different sizes. This feature is convenient for working with particular film formats. The following constrained settings are available: • Custom Any ratio may be specified. • Classic (C Type) The width-to-height ratio is 3 to 2. • Panorama (P Type) The width-to-height ratio is 3 to 1. • Hi-Vision TV (H Type) The width-to-height ratio is 16 to 9.
