N Connecting the power cord WARNING When connecting the power cord, follow these precautions. Failure to do so might cause a fire or electrical shock. • Never grasp the plug when your hands are wet. • Never plug the unit into a multi-plug power strip. • Never bundle or tie the power cord around itself or another object. Connect the plug securely to the power source. • Use only the power cord and plug provided with the scanner. • Before you connect the power cord, be sure to turn the power switch OFF. • Be sure to connect to a AC 220-240V (50/60 Hz)/AC 120V (60 Hz) power supply. • Do not plug the scanner into an outlet shared with another device. If you use an extension cable, pay attention to the total amperage of the cable. Connect the power cord to the rear of the scanner, and insert the power plug into the power outlet. 26
