(Cleaning sheet) $&*& Page 51 Maintenance and Troubleshooting Cleaning Mode Cleaning mode is a mode for cleaning the Fileprint 470's fixing rollers. Clean the fixing rollers in the Fileprint 470 if black spots appear on the front or back of the paper that is printed out. The following describes the procedure for cleaning the fixing rollers. Refer to the user's guide for the Fileprint 470 for information about taking care of the Fileprint 470. Cleaning the Fixing Roller 1 Hold down the AE key for 5 seconds to switch to Cleaning mode. "11" appears on the copies display. 2 Open the multipurpose tray on the FilePrint 470 and load a sheet of Letter paper. 3 Press the Start key. A cleaning sheet is printed and the copies display changes to "CL". IMPORTANT To cancel Cleaning mode, press the Clear key before you press the Start key. You cannot cancel Cleaning mode once you have printed the cleaning sheet. You must complete the fuser cleaning procedure. 4 Load the cleaning sheet in the multipurpose tray with the printed side down and the arrow marking facing towards the printer. 5 Press the Start key to begin fuser cleaning. IMPORTANT Cleaning the fixing rollers requires about 75 seconds. Other operations cannot be done while the fixing rollers are being cleaned, so do not touch anything. 6 Once cleaning has finished, the copies display reverts to its normal status. IMPORTANT If black spots still appear on the front or back of the printouts after the fixing rollers are cleaned, instead of using printed cleaning sheets, put blank A4 size paper in the manual feed tray and clean them again. - 51 - 07.5.14, 11:07 "EPCF1BHF.BLFS+11$
