Using a 2CR5 Lithium Battery When a charged Battery Pack NB-4H is unavailable, use a generic 2CR5 lithium battery in the camera. Install a 2CR5 lithium battery as shown. 2CR5 • It is advisable to use Battery Pack NB-4H or an AC power source as the standard power source for the camera. • It is best to avoid using lithium batteries for long periods of time in the camera. Resume the use of Battery Pack NB-4H or AC power sources as quickly as possible. • Using the LCD monitor while shooting will raise power consumption and hasten the depletion of the lithium battery. You are advised to use the optical viewfinder for shooting to conserve the battery charge when powering the camera with a lithium battery. • Using a lithium battery in low temperatures reduces its performance. In low temperatures, warm the battery in your pocket or hands before installing it in the camera. 29 Preparing the Camera
