Commonly Used Shooting Functions 67 Using the Digital Zoom/Digital Tele-Converter See Functions Available in Each Shooting Mode (p. 238). You can combine digital zoom with optical zoom when shooting. The available shooting characteristics and focal lengths (35mm film equivalent) are as follows: Selection Standard Focal Length 28 - 420 mm Shooting Characteristics Enables shooting at zoom factors of up to 15x with digital and optical zoom combined. In movie mode, only the Standard mode can be selected. Off 28 - 105 mm Enables shooting without digital zoom. Digital zoom is fixed at the selected zoom 1.6x 44.8 - 168 mm factor, and the focal length shifts to maximum telephoto.
