Cleaning Your Printer This section describes the cleaning procedure that is needed to maintain your printer. „ Cleaning the Paper Feed Rollers (Roller Cleaning) Clean the paper feed rollers if paper is not fed properly. z Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the Auto Sheet Feeder Cleaning the paper feed roller of the Auto Sheet Feeder will wear the roller, so perform this only when necessary. 1 Make sure that the printer is turned on, and then remove any paper from the printer. 2 Open the Front Feeder and extend the Output Paper Support. 3 Hold down the RESUME/CANCEL button and release it when the POWER lamp flashes green three times. The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it cleans. 4 Repeat step 3 twice. 5 Load three or more sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Auto Sheet Feeder. Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the left. 6 Hold down the RESUME/CANCEL button and release it when the POWER lamp flashes green three times. The paper cleans the Paper Feed Roller as it feeds through the printer. 7 Repeat step 6 three times. If there are no signs of improvement after performing cleaning three times, clean the surface of the roller by applying a cotton swab slightly moistened with water to wipe off dust or stain. This section describes the cleaning procedure that is needed to maintain your printer.
Cleaning the Paper Feed Rollers (Roller Cleaning)
Clean the paper feed rollers if paper is not fed properly.
Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller of the Auto Sheet Feeder
Cleaning the paper feed roller of the Auto Sheet Feeder will wear the roller, so perform this only
when necessary.

Make sure that the printer is turned on, and then remove any paper from the printer.

Open the Front Feeder and extend the Output Paper Support.

Hold down the

button and release it when the
