GETTING READY To load the battery 1. While pressing the battery compartment cover on the bottom of the camera, slide the cover in the direction indicated by the arrow, and then swing it open. 2. While pulling the stopper in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration, align the (-) mark on the battery with the (-) mark on the camera and slide the battery into the camera. Stopper • Push the bottom of the battery, and make sure that the stopper securely locks the battery in place. (-) marks NP-40 38
