OTHER RECORDING FUNCTIONS 3. Press the shutter button half way. • This causes the camera to configure shutter speed automatically in accordance with the aperture value you selected. Then it focuses the image. • The shutter speed and aperture values on the monitor screen will turn amber when you press the shutter button half way if the image is over-exposed or under-exposed. 4. When the image is focused, press the shutter button all the way down to record. Using Shutter Speed Priority AE When S Mode (shutter speed priority AE) is selected as the exposure mode, the camera adjusts the aperture automatically in accordance with a fixed shutter speed specified by you. You should specify a shutter speed in accordance with how much your subject is moving.
