General Administrative Information System Information 5 System Information The System Summary page provides a graphic view of the switch, and displays switch status, hardware information, firmware version information, general PoE status, and other items. Displaying the System Summary To view system information, click Status and Statistics > System Summary. The System Summary page opens. The System Summary page displays system and hardware information. System Information: • System Description-A description of the system. • System Location-Physical location of the switch. Click Edit to go the System Settings page to enter this information. • System Contact-Name of a contact person. Click Edit to go the System Settings page to enter this information. • Host Name-Name of the switch. Click Edit to go the System Settings page to enter this information. By default, the switch hostname is composed of the word switch concatenated with the three least significant bytes of the switch MAC address (the six furthest right hexadecimal digits). • System Uptime-Time that has elapsed since the last reboot. • Current Time-Current system time. • Base MAC Address-Switch MAC address. • Jumbo Frames-Jumbo frame support status. This support can be enabled or disabled by using the Port Settings page of the Port Management menu. NOTE Jumbo frames support takes effect only after it is enabled, and after the switch is rebooted. TCP/UDP Services Status: • HTTP Service-Displays whether HTTP is enabled/disabled. • HTTPS Service-Displays whether HTTPS is enabled/disabled.
