DGS-1520 Series Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Switch CLI Reference Guide 27-2 address-assignment This command is used to specify an address to be assigned to a specified client. Use the no form of this command to remove the static binding address. address-assignment IPV6-ADDRESS CLIENT-DUID [iaid IAID] [lifetime VALID-LIFETIME PREFERREDLIFETIME] no address-assignment IPV6-ADDRESS CLIENT-DUID [iaid IAID] Parameters IPV6-ADDRESS CLIENT-DUID iaid IAID lifetime VALID-LIFETIME PREFERRED-LIFETIME Specifies the IPv6 address to assign to the specific client. Specifies the DHCP unique identifier (DUID) of the client to get the address. (Optional) Specifies an identity association identifier (IAID). The IAID here uniquely identifies a collection of non-temporary addresses (IANA) assigned on the client. (Optional) Specifies the valid lifetime of the address in seconds. The valid lifetime should be greater than the preferred lifetime. This value must be between 60 and 4294967295, or infinite. If this parameter is not specified, the default valid lifetime is the pool's valid lifetime. (Optional) Specifies the preferred lifetime of the address in seconds. This value must be between 60 and 4294967295, or infinite. If this parameter is not specified, the default preferred lifetime is the pool's preferred lifetime. Default None. Command Mode DHCPv6 Pool Configuration Mode. Command Default Level Level: 12. Usage Guideline Use the command to configure a static binding address entry to specify the address to be assigned to specific client. When the server receives a request from a client, the server will check the IPv6 DHCP pool associated with the received interface. If the request message includes the IANA option and there are free static entries that are configured with IAID and match both the DUID and IAID of the message, the match entry will be assigned. If there is no match entry but there are free static entries without IAID specified and match the DUID of the message, the match entry are replied. If there are no match entries, the client will be assigned with the address from the address prefix specified in the IPv6 DHCP pool. 303

Parameters

IPV6-ADDRESS

Specifies the IPv6 address to assign to the specific client.

CLIENT-DUID
