Use the no form of this command to return the password to the empty string. enable password [level PRIVILEGE-LEVEL] [0 | 7 | 15] PASSWORD no enable password [level PRIVILEGE-LEVEL] Parameters level PRIVILEGE-LEVEL 0 7 15 PASSWORD (Optional) Specifies the privilege level for the user. The privilege level is between 1 and 15. If this argument is not specified in the command or the no form of the command, the privilege level defaults to 15 (traditional enable privileges). (Optional) Specifies the password in clear, plain text. The password length is between 1 and 32 characters and can contain embedded spaces. It is casesensitive. If the password syntax is not specified, the syntax remains plain text. (Optional) Specifies the encrypted password based on SHA-1. The password length is fixed at 35 bytes. It is case-sensitive. The password is encrypted. If the password syntax is not specified, the syntax is plain text. (Optional) Specifies the password in the encrypted form based on MD5. The password length is fixed at 31 bytes. It is case-sensitive. The password is encrypted. If the password syntax is not specified, the syntax is plain text. Specifies the password for the user. 76
