2. Set up the second application, for example, V.120: (a) Add the 2nd COM port. ƒ Enter "Control Panel" Æ "Modem". Click "Add" button. ƒ Check "Other". Click "Next". ƒ Check "Don't detect my modem; I will select it from a list". Click "Next". ƒ Select "Intelligent ISDN" in "Manufacturers", and "Intelligent ISDN MODEM (modem)" in "Models". Click "Next". ƒ Select "ISDN_2nd_COM". Click "Next". ƒ Click "Finish". ƒ Now you can find "Intelligent ISDN MODEM (modem) #2" in "Control Panel" Æ "Modem". Making Modem over ISDN Data Calls The "Fax/Modem over ISDN" function lets you seamlessly talk to the analog fax/modem devices at the remote sites over ISDN line. 1. Go to Configuration Utility, execute "Config". 2. Open "COM port setting". Select "Modem over B-channel" in "1st COM port setting". Click "Apply" and "OK". 3. Open "Switch type". Choose appropriate "Voice Encoding" scheme for your location. 4. Run "HyperTerminal". Select "Intelligent ISDN MODEM (modem)". 5. Now you can use the "modem over ISDN B-channel" function with "HyperTerminal" utility (or other modem applications base on Microsoft DUN) to connect to the remote parties. 6. To answer the incoming analog modem calls over ISDN line, select Answered by Modem in Incoming Call Answering in General tab. Making Modem over ISDN Data Calls
The “Fax/Modem over ISDN” function lets you seamlessly talk to the analog
fax/modem devices at the remote sites over ISDN line.
