As shown above, it is not necessary to put spaces between the commands (there is no space between AT, !C0=0, !Z=9, and &N0=0). The ISDN TA usually returns an response at the next line if it understands the command. The response is usually OK or ERROR unless the AT command has other extended messages. Add &Wn at the end of the AT command string to save the changes to ISDN TA's memory (refer to AT&Wn commands for details), otherwise the changes will get lost when you restart or shut down the computer. Type AT&F&Wn if you get lost in the AT command and want to go back to the factory default settings. Exception: Do not proceed the following commands with an AT prefix or end it by pressing Enter. +++ Escape sequence The escape sequence allows the modem to exit data mode and enter on-line command mode. While in on-line command mode, you may communicate directly to your modem using AT commands. Once you are finished, you may return to data mode using the ATO command. - 49 -
