Prerequisites 1 Remove the base cover. 2 Remove the battery (half-length) or the battery (full-length), whichever applicable. 3 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 3 in Removing the hard drive. 4 Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane. 5 Remove the I/O board. 6 Remove the coin-cell battery. 7 Remove the wireless card. 8 Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 6 in Removing the heat sink. 9 Remove the speakers. 10 Remove the touchpad. 11 Remove the power-adapter port. 12 Remove the display assembly. 13 Remove the system board. 14 Remove the power-button board. 15 Remove the keyboard. Procedure After performing the steps in the pre-requisites, we are left with the palm rest. 91
