Syntax serial timeout 0-160 A value of 0 means no console timeout. The range is 0 to 160 minutes. The no serial timeout command sets the maximum connect time (in minutes) without console activity to the 5-minute default. Fields of show serial Command Output Field Serial Port Login Timeout (minutes) Baud Rate Character Size Flow Control Description Specifies the time, in minutes, of inactivity on a serial port connection, after which the switch will close the connection. Any numeric value between 0 and 160 is allowed, the factory default is 5. A value of 0 disables the timeout The default baud rate at which the serial port will try to connect.
