Removing the Mini-Card, Replacing the Mini-Card

l Mobile Broadband or Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN) Removing the Mini-Card 1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin. 2. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery). 3. Remove the keyboard (see Removing the Keyboard). 4. Disconnect the antenna cables from the Mini-Card. 1 Mini-Card 2 screws (2) 3 antenna cable connector (2) 5. Release the Mini-Card by removing the two screws that secure the Mini-Card to the system board. 6. Lift the Mini-Card out of its system board connector. CAUTION: When the Mini-Card is not in the computer, store it in protective antistatic packaging (see "Protecting Against Electrostatic Discharge" in the safety instructions that shipped with your computer). Replacing the Mini-Card CAUTION: The connectors are keyed to ensure correct insertion. If you feel resistance, check the connectors on the card and on the system board, and realign the card. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the Mini-Card, never place cables under the card.

Removing the Mini-Card

Follow the instructions in

Remove the battery (see

).
3.
Remove the keyboard (see
Removing the Keyboard
).
4.
Disconnect the antenna cables from the Mini-Card.
5.
Release the Mini-Card by removing the two screws that secure the
Mini-Card to the system board.
6.
Lift the Mini-Card out of its system board connector.

CAUTION:
