CAUTION: To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see Removing the Battery) before working inside the computer. Removing the AC Adapter Connector 1. Follow the procedures in Before You Begin. 2. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery). 3. Follow the instructions from step 2 to step 17 in Removing the System Board. 4. Remove the left support bracket (see Removing the Left Support Bracket). 5. Remove the I/O board (see Removing the I/O Board). 6. Make a note of the AC adapter connector cable routing and remove the cable from the routing guide. 1 AC adapter connector 7. Lift the AC adapter connector out of the computer base.

Follow the procedures in

Remove the battery (see

).
3.
Follow the instructions from
step 2
to
step 17

Removing the System Board
.
4.
Remove the left support bracket (see
Removing the Left Support Bracket
).
5.
Remove the I/O board (see
Removing the I/O Board
).
6.
Make a note of the AC adapter connector cable routing and remove the cable from the routing guide.
7.
Lift the AC adapter connector out of the computer base.
