Replacing the Palm Rest

Starting at the top of the palm rest, use your fingers to gently ease the palm rest from the computer base by lifting the inside of the palm rest while pulling in on the outside. NOTE: The thermal pads may stick to the bottom of the palm rest. Remove the thermal pads from the bottom of the palm rest. 9. Remove the thermal pads from the processor, North Bridge, and South Bridge. Replacing the Palm Rest 1. Remove the centrifugal paper of the thermal pads, that shipped with your new palm rest, and paste it on the processor, North Bridge, and South Bridge. 1 thermal pad (3) 3 north bridge 2 south bridge 4 processor 2. Align the tabs of the palm rest with the computer base. 3. Gently snap the palm rest into place. 4. Connect the Bluetooth card cable, touch pad cable, and the power button cable to the respective system board connectors. 5. Replace the seven screws on the top of the palm rest.

Starting at the top of the palm rest, use your fingers to gently ease the palm rest from the computer base by lifting the inside of the palm rest while
pulling in on the outside.

Remove the thermal pads from the processor, North Bridge, and South Bridge.
Replacing the Palm Rest
1.
Remove the centrifugal paper of the thermal pads, that shipped with your new palm rest, and paste it on the processor, North Bridge, and South Bridge.
2.
Align the tabs of the palm rest with the computer base.
3.
Gently snap the palm rest into place.
4.
Connect the Bluetooth card cable, touch pad cable, and the power button cable to the respective system board connectors.
5.
Replace the seven screws on the top of the palm rest.
