Installing the Processor 1. Insert the processor into the processor socket. Ensure the processor is properly seated. 2. Press the release lever down and then move it inward to secure it with the retention hook. 3. Install the heat sink. 4. Install the drive cage. 5. Install the front bezel. 6. Install the cover. 7. Follow the procedures in After Working Inside Your Computer. Removing the System Board 1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your Computer. 2. Remove: a) cover b) front bezel c) drive cage d) system fan e) power supply f) heat sink g) processor h) memory i) input/output panel j) WLAN card k) speaker 3. Disconnect all the cables connected to the chassis. 4. Disconnect all the cables connected to the system board. 27

Installing the Processor
