The uptime command can be used to display the amount of time the switch has been in operation (also known as up time), the total cumulative amount of up time since the switch was first powered-on, the date and time of the last reboot, and the reason for the last reboot. For up and powered-on times less than 60 seconds, the display granularity is by the second. For times greater than 60 seconds, the display granularity is by the minute. In addition, the formatting of the output adjusts based on the amount of time. See Appendix A, "Error Messages," for more information. The following example shows the version command screen, which displays firmware version information and build dates. The fields are described in Table 4-18.
