ENGLISH OPERATIONS Preparations for playback Preparations: Check that at connections are proper. 1 Turn on the power. Press the POWER switch (button). Several seconds are required from the time the power switch is set to the " ON " position until sound is output. This is due to the built-in muting circuit that prevents noise when the power switch is turned on and off. • AL OFF The power turns off and "INPUT SELECTOR" indicator is off. EX: COAXIAL-1 - COAXIAL I.COAXIAL • When the AVD-2000 is used with a DENON AV receiver, the program source can be selected using the function buttons on the AV receiver's remote control unit. If this does not work properly or if you want to change the settings, see page 14. Also set the AV receiver's surround mode to "6CH EXT. IN". 2 Check that "INPUT SELECTOR" indicator is lit. EX: COAXIAL-1 / O\ light on Of. 1- COAXIAL 0 flashes I - COAXIAL * If the "INPUT SELECTOR" indicator is flashes, check that the system setup's input setting (refer to page 14) and the' connections are proper, that the component's power is turned on, etc. A 3 Start playback on the selected component. NOTES: • NEVER try to play CD-ROM discs. • If a CD-ROM is played, the INPUT SELECTOR indicator is lit but no sound is heard. • When using the AVD-2000 with a DENON AV receiver, leave the AVD-2000's MASTER VOLUME control at the 0 position and adjust the volume using the MASTER VOLUME control on the AV receiver. 16
