ENGLISH 1. Relay play 5 With the relay play mode it is possible to play the disc in the CD side and the one in the CD-R side, relaying between them. 5 The programmed play and random play modes can be preset for the discs in the CD and CD-R units. (Remote control unit) Select the CD side. 2. Mix mode 5 In the mix mode, programmed play and random play of the disc in the CD unit and the one in the CD-R unit can be performed as if the two discs were a single disc. FADER INPUT FINALIZE B 2 4 2 Press the RELAY MODE button and select "Relay Play". • The "RELAY" indicator lights. Use the CD or CD-R section repeat 1/ALL button on the remote control unit to turn the repeat mode on or off. • The 1-track repeat mode cannot be set in the relay mode. • The relay operation is performed as shown below according to the combination of the relay and repeat modes: 3 Repeat mode Repeat on: "REPEAT" indicator lit Relay operation 1 CD side playback 1 CD-R side playback Repeat off CD side playback 1 CD-R side playback 1 Stop Relay play starts when the CD unit's play button is pressed. 4 • The sound is output from the CD/CD-R output jacks. • To quit the relay mode, press the relay mode button and select "Single Play". • The disc in the side that is not operating can be replaced during relay playback. NOTE: • When relaying between a CD and CD-R, the digital data from the CD/CD-R digital output terminal is interrupted momentarily. FADER INPUT FINALIZE B REMOTE CONTROL UNIT RC-278 4 2 4 5 1 Load the discs you want to play in the CD and CD-R units. 2 Press the RELAY MODE button and select "Mix Play". • The "MIX" indicator lights. 3 Press the CD or CD-R unit's PROG/DIRECT button on the remote control unit to set the program mode. • The "PROG" indicator lights. Follow the procedure at "Programmed playback" on Page 21 to program the tracks in the order in which you want to play them. 4 • You can program tracks for both the CD and CD-R units by using the CD/CD-R selector switch on the remote control unit to switch between them. • Up to 30 tracks can be programmed. Mix programmed playback starts when the CD or CD-R unit's play button is pressed. 5 • The sound is output from the CD/CD-R output jacks. • To quit the mix mode, press the relay mode button and select "Single Play".
