ENGLISH 18 MESSAGES Messages may appear on the display while using the CDR-W1500. The meanings of these messages are explained below. Message TOC Reading Meaning Reading disc information. Open During tray opening. Close During tray closing. No Disc No disc inserted, disc unreadable or disc inserted upside down. Use Audio CD Inserted disc is no audio CD. Now PMA Rec Updating disc contents. Disc Full Copy Prohibit Finalize *.** No more recording possible. No digital recording can be made of the connected source. See "Digital Copies" on Page 6. Data signals other than audio signals have been input. These signals are not recorded. Time countdown when finalizing a disc. PlaybackOnly When trying to record on a finalized CD-R or a prerecorded CD. Now OPC OPC Error Rec Error During laser power calibration for unfinalized discs. OPC failure during OPC procedure (OPC = Optimum Power Calibration) An error has occurred during recording. Disc Error Recording or finalization is not possible due to a disc fault. Blank Disc When attempting to edit text for a disc which has no tracks. No Name No text stored for disc. Sync. -**dB Dig.Unlock Setting value of the synchro recording starting level. There is an incomplete connection of the digital input jack during digital input recording, or the input signal is not being input properly due to some other factor. Message Name Full Mecha Error All Skip Tr Complete TextEraseOK? CD-R Short Text Protect Now Tr Check ("*" indicates a letter or character.) Meaning 23 text characters have already been input or a total of 900 characters have already been input. Disc is not operating properly. Skip is set for all tracks. Mode reception has been completed. If the disc is removed, all the text information is cleared. The recordable time on the disc is shorter than the time of the recording source you are trying to copy. The text information is copy-protected so the text cannot be copied in the copy mode. The CD side track information is being checked. 34

Use Audio CD

digital input recording, or the input signal is not being input properly
due to some other factor.
Setting value of the synchro recording starting level.
23 text characters have already been input or a total of 900 characters
have already been input.
Disc is not operating properly.
Skip is set for all tracks.
Mode reception has been completed.
If the disc is removed, all the text information is cleared.
