ONLY hang tool's belt hook from a work belt. WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious L personal injury, ensure the screw (L) holding the belt hook is secure. IMPORTANT: When attaching or removing the belt hook, use only the screw (L) that is provided. The belt hook (M) can be attached to either side of the tool using only the screw (L) provided, to accommodate left- or right-handed users. If the hook is not desired at all, it can be removed from the tool. To move the belt hook, remove the screw (L) that holds the belt hook in place, then reassemble on the opposite side. OPERATION Installing and Removing the Battery Pack (Fig. 4) NOTE: Make sure your battery pack is fully charged. FIG. 4 N To install the battery pack (A) into the tool handle, align the battery with the rails inside the tool's handle and slide it into the handle until the battery pack is firmly seated in the tool and ensure that it does not disengage. To remove the battery pack from the tool, press the release button (N) and firmly pull the battery pack out of the tool handle. Insert it into the charger as described in the charger section of this manual. Getting Started (Fig. 2) POWER ON/OFF 1. To turn on the hand-held wall scanner, press the power on/off button (G) and hold for 0.5 seconds. Ensure that the unit is at least 6" (150 mm) away from the wall when powering on and that the back surface is clear of hands or objects. 2. To turn off the hand-held wall scanner, press the power on/off button (G) and hold for 2 seconds. The hand-held wall scanner will also power off automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. INITIAL SETUP Press the power button (G) to turn on the hand-held wall scanner. The first time the hand-held wall scanner is powered on, it will prompt to select a language and construction type. 1. OPERATION
Installing and Removing the Battery Pack

NOTE:
Make sure your battery pack is fully charged.

To install the battery pack (A) into the tool handle, align the battery
with the rails inside the tool’s handle and slide it into the handle until
the battery pack is firmly seated in the tool and ensure that it does not
disengage.
To remove the battery pack from the tool, press the release button (N)
and firmly pull the battery pack out of the tool handle. Insert it into the
charger as described in the charger section of this manual.
Getting Started (Fig. 2)
POWER ON/OFF
1. To turn on the hand-held wall scanner, press the power on/off
button (G) and hold for 0.5 seconds.
Ensure that the unit is at
least 6" (150 mm) away from the wall when powering on and
that the back surface is clear of hands or objects.
2. To turn off the hand-held wall scanner, press the power on/off
button (G) and hold for 2 seconds.
The hand-held wall scanner will also power off automatically after
