Making connections 11 Connecting an antenna, cable TV, or satellite TV box To connect an antenna, cable TV, or satellite TV box: • Connect one end of a 75-Ohm, coaxial cable to the RF jack on the back of the TV, then connect the other end of the cable to the antenna or cable TV wall jack. Back of TV 75-Ohm coaxial cable Note: Cable connectors and jacks are often color-coded. Match the colors when you connect the AV cable. To play the VCR: 1 Turn on the TV, then press INPUT. The INPUT SOURCE menu. 2 Press or to select AV1, then press ENTER. Note: You can also press VIDEO one or more times to select AV1. 3 Turn on the VCR, insert a videotape, then press PLAY on the VCR. Connecting a camcorder or game console Note: If your game console has an HDMI connection, you will get better quality using the HDMI connection instead of the AV connection. To connect a camcorder or game console: • Connect one end of a standard AV cable into the AV2 IN jacks on the side of the TV, then connect the other end of the cable to the AV OUT jacks on the camcorder or game console. Side of TV Wall jack Notes: • We recommend using a 75-Ohm, coaxial cable to reduce interference and noise that may be caused by radio wave transmissions. • Do not bundle the coaxial cable with the power cord or any other cables. • If you are using an antenna and reception is not good, contact a service technician to adjust the antenna. Connecting a VCR Note: If the VCR has an S-Video jack, connect the VCR using the S-Video jack. S-Video provides better video than standard AV. For more information, see "Connecting an S-Video device" on page 12. To connect a VCR: • Connect one end of a standard AV cable (not included) into the AV1 IN jacks on the back of the TV, then connect the other end of the cable to the AV OUT jacks on the VCR. Connecting an antenna, cable TV, or
satellite TV box
To connect an antenna, cable TV, or satellite TV box:
Connect one end of a 75-Ohm, coaxial cable to the RF jack on the
back of the TV, then connect the other end of the cable to the
antenna or cable TV wall jack.
Notes:
We recommend using a 75-Ohm, coaxial cable to reduce interference
and noise that may be caused by radio wave transmissions.
Do not bundle the coaxial cable with the power cord or any other
cables.
If you are using an antenna and reception is not good, contact a
service technician to adjust the antenna.
Connecting a VCR
Note:
If the VCR has an S-Video jack, connect the VCR using the S-Video
jack. S-Video provides better video than standard AV. For more
information, see “Connecting an S-Video device” on page 12.
To connect a VCR:
Connect one end of a standard AV cable (not included) into the
AV1 IN
jacks on the back of the TV, then connect the other end of
the cable to the
AV OUT
jacks on the VCR.
Note:
Cable connectors and jacks are often color-coded. Match the colors
when you connect the AV cable.
To play the VCR:

Connecting a camcorder or game console
Note:
