Resetting the Computer If necessary, you can reset the computer without turning it off by pressing a combination of keys. This clears the computer's RAM and restores any default configuration settings. For example, if an error occurs and the computer does not respond to your keyboard entries, you can reset it to reload the operating system and try again. To reset the computer, the operating system must be either on the hard disk or on a diskette in drive A. If you are using MS-DOS, hold down and and press The screen goes blank for a moment and then the computer reloads MS-DOS. Caution Resetting the computer erases any data in memory you have not saved, so do not use the reset function unless necessary. Resetting the Computer
