Initialization There are three ways that the printer can be initialized (returned to a fixed set of conditions) as listed in the table below. Hardware Initialization Software Initialization l The printer is turned on. l The printer receives an INIT signal at the parallel interface (pin 31 goes LOW). l Software sends the ESC @ (initialize the printer command). These three kinds of initialization have slightly different effects. All three methods reset the typestyle according to the default settings selected by the DIP switches inside the front cover. Initialization
