Appendix Appendix Problems and Solutions  When an error occurs, a message is displayed onscreen. Follow the instructions in the message to fix the error.  If the error persists even after countermeasures are taken, contact your dealer. Verify the product name and serial number before contacting your dealer. Power On / Off Problems Symptoms / Problem Condition Power does not turn on (Power lamp does not light up) Power does not turn off Verification Method / Countermeasures Try holding down the power switch a little longer. Is the power plug connected to the outlet? Verify that the plug is not loose and that it is not plugged in at an angle. Are you using a power tap, etc.? Connect the power plug directly into the outlet on the wall. Is power being supplied to the outlet? Plug another electronic product into the outlet and verify that power turns on. Is the power switch set so that it cannot be used to turn off the power? Shut down Windows. If the power still does not turn off, unplug the power plug from the outlet. After you do this, turn the power on again and then use the power switch (or use Windows shutdown) to turn the power off. Otherwise, the print head may dry up and become clogged. 181

Problems and Solutions
Power On / Off Problems
When an error occurs, a message is displayed onscreen. Follow the instructions in the
message to fix the error.
If the error persists even after countermeasures are taken, contact your dealer. Verify
the product name and serial number before contacting your dealer.

Power does not turn off

power?
Shut down Windows.
If the power still does not turn off, unplug the power plug from the
outlet. After you do this, turn the power on again and then use the
power switch (or use Windows shutdown) to turn the power off.
Otherwise, the print head may dry up and become clogged.
