GEM, Version 3.x The table below lists the driver filenames for the resolutions available for GEM. GEM driver files Filename Resolution SDA600.VGA SDA768.VGA 800X600 1024 x 768 If you have not yet installed GEM, follow the instructions in your GEM documentation to install it with the standard EGA (IBM Enhanced Card and 16-Color Display) driver. GEM requires that you install drivers from the root directory of a diskette in drive A. To install the drivers for GEM, you'll need to do the following: Create a GEM driver pack Install the drivers using the INSTALL program Configure GEM for your new driver. Creating a GEM Driver Pack Follow these steps to create a GEM driver pack: 1. Insert a blank diskette in drive A. 2. Format the disk using the MS-DOS FORMAT command. If you have not yet installed GEM, follow the instructions in
your GEM documentation to install it with the standard EGA
(IBM Enhanced Card and 16-Color Display) driver.
GEM requires that you install drivers from the root directory of

to do the following:
Create a GEM driver pack
Install the drivers using the INSTALL program
Configure GEM for your new driver.
Creating a GEM Driver Pack
Follow these steps to create a GEM driver pack:
1.

2.
Format the disk using the MS-DOS FORMAT command.
You’ll see a prompt for the volume label.
