Message Explanation Response CARRIAGE LOCKED The print head is locked. RELEASE THE CARRIAGE LOCK Remove the bracket securing the print head; see page 27. COMMAND ERROR CHECK DRIVER SETTINGS You may be using the wrong printer driver. Damaged data was sent to the printer or the data has an incorrect command. Press and hold the Pause button for three seconds to cancel the print job. Make sure you installed the correct driver for your printer. DRAIN TANK FULL The waste ink tank is full. DRAIN WASTE INK FROM THE DRAIN TANK Dispose of the waste ink in the waste ink tank. See page 78 for instructions. FRONT COVER OPEN Front cover is open. Close the front cover. CLOSE FRONT COVER F/W INSTALL ERROR UPDATE FAILED RESTART THE PRINTER Firmware update failed. Restart the printer, then update the firmware again; see page 38 for instructions. INK CARTRIDGE NON-GENUINE CARTRIDGE MAY NOT PERFORM AT OPTIMUM. CONTINUE? A non-genuine ink cartridge is installed.
