The message Print head is nearing end of service life. is displayed in the control panel as the time for replacement draws near. The printer can still be used while this message is displayed. Print head life varies with operating conditions. Base the decision to replace the print head on the quality of the print results. Parts That Are Periodically Replaced
The following parts require periodic replacement.
Print head: The time until the print head needs to be replaced varies with the conditions of
use.

encoder.
