Installing Components Sliding Rails For a sliding rail installation, you need to install the component rails on the component before you can insert it into the rack. 1. Locate the component rails that you set aside when they were removed from the sliding rails earlier. 2. Use three 8-32 × 3/8 screws to install each component rail on the side of the component. Sliding Rails
