Description Equipped with Intel HM75 Express chipset and for use with computer models equipped with an Intel Core i5 or i3 processor Equipped with Intel HM70 Express chipset and for use with computer models equipped with an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor Spare part number 686280-001 688018-001 Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 38), and then remove the following components: a. Memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see Memory module on page 39) b. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 40) c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 43) d. Optical drive (see Optical drive on page 47) e. Hard drive (see Hard drive on page 49) f. Top cover (see Top cover on page 53) When replacing the system board, be sure that the following components are removed from the defective system board and installed on the replacement system board: ● Memory module (see Memory module on page 39) ● RTC battery (see RTC battery on page 52) ● Fan/heat sink assembly (see Fan/heat sink assembly on page 69) ● Processor (see Processor on page 71) Component replacement procedures 67

Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
