3. Remove each solid-state drive (3). To install the solid-state drive, reverse the removal procedures. NOTE: Solid-state drives are designed with a notch to prevent incorrect insertion. When installing, make sure the thermal pad is attached to the solid-state drive covers before replacement. Heat sink To remove the heat sink, use these procedures and illustrations. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 33). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 33). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34). Remove the heat sink: 1.
