● Coalescence, grain. Try reducing the amount of ink in your RIP software, then reprint the chart and check again. Also consider the following tips. ● You may have chosen a substrate preset that uses more ink than your substrate allows. Consult the substrate vendor's Web site and HP's Web site for the latest substrate presets and information. ● Consult your RIP documentation to make sure you are applying the right substrate ICC profile. ● Consult your RIP documentation on how to lower the total ink quantity of the preset. 2. Correct amount of ink: Each scale can be distinguished from the others, and there are no visible defects. Handle the substrate 3. Too little ink: The whole chart looks washed out.
