NOTE: The thermal material must be thoroughly cleaned from the surfaces of the heat sink and the system board each time the heat sink is removed. Thermal material is used on the processor (1) and the heat sink section (2) that services it. Reverse this procedure to install the heat sink. Speakers Description Speakers (includes left and right speakers and cables) Spare part number 857804-001 Before removing the speakers, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 28). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 31). 6. Remove the following components: a. Solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 35) b. WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 37) c. Fan (see Fan on page 39) d.
